Made from 12mm thick toughened glass with polished edges, the truncated glass hearth is ideal for use with stoves that produce less than 100°C heat. Available in clear glass, smoked (black tinted) and black options, the truncated glass hearth comes in 2 dimensions. 1100mm x 943mm x 12mm and 1000mm x 850mm x 12mm.
If you are looking for a custom size, choose our bespoke option. Bespoke service is available for clear and painted options in sizes up to 1000mm x 1100mm with a lead time of up to 3 weeks.
The generous size of the glass plate will keep your floor safe from any spilled deposits from the stove while protecting your floor from the heat. Cleaning the spilled deposits is a breeze. Simply wipe away using a dry cloth and you’re done.
The best part about a glass hearth is that it keeps your floor safe without covering up your floor’s elegance. In fact, it adds a glossy appeal to your timber floor.
Go for the highly durable and affordable truncated glass hearth and give your wood burning stove the perfect company it needs.

All appliance installed with a glass hearth need an independent certification to verify it will not cause the glass hearth to exceed 100°C. The stove requires a manufacturers confirmation that it has been certified and the stove includes instructions suitable for a non-constructional hearth installation process
If installed on a combustible floor it is essential the hearth is at least 250mm thick (or 125mm thick with a 50mm air gap underneath). If however, the stove does not exceed the glass hearth's temperature to over 100ºC then the hearth thickness can be reduced to 12mm. Many stove manufacturers test their products and should be able to confirm whether the stove will cause the glass hearth to exceed a temperature of 100ºC or not. Most stoves that are installed with a log storage underneath are most likely to exceed the glass to over a temperature of 100ºC.
